All associations and condominiums must hold an annual meeting. At the annual meeting, the association's activities and budgets are adopted and a board is elected.

All members have the same rights in an association. Therefore, the board should prepare well. All members must receive sufficient information about the annual meeting, both through the notice and the agenda. This includes including the agenda and proposed resolutions, as well as following the formal requirements for notice and agenda as specified in the articles of association.

Organizing an annual meeting can seem overwhelming, because there's so much to prepare, decide and implement. Get an overview, learn the basic principles and you'll be fine.

In this course, we will go through the most important things you need to know to plan and conduct an annual meeting.

This course has been developed in collaboration with SmartOrg, a platform that simplifies the operation of associations and condominiums. They have a 30-day free trial period. You can read more about SmartOrg here.
