Norwegian B1 course (intermediate level)

Norwegian 3 is a continuation of Norwegian 1 (A1) and Norwegian 2 (A2) in Aftenskolen, and is the first of two parts at level B1.

The course is perfect for those of you who already know some Norwegian and who want to strengthen your skills in Norwegian.

The course is mostly conducted in Norwegian, with English as a support language if necessary.

All teaching takes place in classrooms with committed and skilled teachers.

Learning objectives. What do you learn in Norwegian B1?

In this Norwegian course (Norwegian course B1), we follow the curriculum for adult immigrants and have designed the teaching to reach the competence goals for Norwegian B1.

At level B1, you can understand clear and relatively simple language and express yourself in an understandable and coherent manner on topics related to your own life, education and work situation, familiar current social topics and topics of personal interest.

During the course you will learn some basic grammar, spelling and number words. In addition, you will be able to make simple sentences and ask questions with the correct sentence structure. We also try to give you some knowledge about Norwegian society. The goal is that you will have enough knowledge to pass a Norwegian test at B1 level.

The teaching will be in Norwegian and English.

You will learn to understand and use a variety of expressions and phrases in different situations. You will learn to make sentences and ask questions with the correct word order, as well as a good deal of grammar.

At the same time, you will learn to express your own and others' opinions on various topics. You will learn to use polite expressions and expressions related to special situations.

We aim for you to develop a good and basic vocabulary, while also gaining general knowledge about Norwegian society.
