Learning objectives. What do you learn at Norwegian A1?
In this Norwegian course, we follow the curriculum for adult immigrants and have designed the teaching to reach the competence goals for Norwegian A1.
At level A1, the participant can understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple statements about themselves and familiar and close things. The participant can participate in very simple, familiar interaction situations if the interaction partners adapt the language and are supportive.
When you have finished the course, you should therefore be able to understand and use words, phrases and expressions in simple everyday situations. You should be able to understand and use familiar expressions and say things about yourself and things you know well. The goal is that you can participate in simple and familiar everyday situations as long as the person you are talking to supports you and adapts the language.
During the course you will learn some basic grammar, spelling and number words. In addition, you will be able to make simple sentences and ask questions with the correct sentence structure. We also try to give you some knowledge about Norwegian society.
The teaching
The teaching will vary slightly from physical courses to digital courses. What is common to all is that you will meet a teacher who will guide you through your language journey.
Classes are normally held twice a week. The course is 50 hours in total.
