Here you can learn Spanish

1. Kristiansand: In Kristiansand, teaching takes place at the University of Agder.
2. Stavanger: In Stavanger, the Spanish course is taught at Kannik School.
3. Online / Virtual Classroom: If you live elsewhere in the country, or if you prefer to learn in the comfort of your own home, then the virtual classroom option is for you. This is a course that runs on Zoom and gives you the opportunity to participate wherever you are.

Here's what you'll learn on a Spanish course for beginners

When you finish the course, the goal is that you can:

• Basic expressions and phrases to cope with everyday situations.
• greet, ask and answer simple oral questions and understand and use Spanish in everyday situations.
• introduce yourself and others, participate in simple conversations and write simple words and phrases in Spanish.
• basic Spanish grammar.

How you can learn Spanish with us

At Aftenskolen, we use varied teaching methods to help you learn as much as possible.

We want you to experience variety, motivation and a commitment to Spanish. That's why we place special emphasis on oral communication from everyday situations.

The exercises we do are specifically based on situations that you may encounter when traveling. For example, buying something at the store, asking for directions or ordering at a restaurant.

This is how teaching is organized:

• We read and practice pronunciation and sound
• We have blackboard lessons to create an understanding of basic language structure
• We have practical exercises with games, role play and the like.
• We also have individual work at home, with assignments that you get from the teacher.

Are you looking for educational and fun language tasks? On the Aprender espanol website, you'll find lots of fun exercises at all language levels.

Not sure which level is right for you?

Spanish 1 (A1 - part 1) and Spanish 2 (A1 - part 2) are at beginner level. The goal is for you to reach language level A1. From the fall of 2024, we will be using a new textbook in Spanish. We will return with information before start-up regarding which book will be used.

Spanish 3 (A2 - part 1) and Spanish 4 (A2 - part 2) are at intermediate level. The goal is for you to reach language level A2.

Textbooks are not included in the course fee.

Course certificate and language test

If you wish, we can create a course certificate for you, given that you have had a minimum of 75% attendance.

Once you have reached a certain language level, e.g. A2, you can take a language test called DELE.

DELE stands for Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjeraand is the official test in Spanish as a foreign language. If you want to study in a Spanish-speaking country, you need to document your knowledge of Spanish, and this is an important test to take.

Such a test/exam can also help to increase motivation in language learning.
