Courses in Norwegian at advanced level

This course builds on Norwegian course B1 or equivalent knowledge of Norwegian. The course is perfect for those who want to take the Norwegian exam B2 and provides good preparation for this test. All teaching takes place in classrooms with committed and qualified teachers. Teaching will only be in Norwegian.

Norskprøve B2 requires you to have a fairly advanced command of Norwegian. You must be able to hold a conversation in Norwegian without any particular problems. You should also be able to read Norwegian newspapers and write long, detailed texts in which you express your own opinions.

The goal of the Norwegian course B2

On Norwegian course B2 you will learn to master most common words and expressions well. You will be able to understand the main content of spoken information where complex language is used.

At the same time, you will be able to read articles, reports and contemporary literature in Norwegian.

Throughout the course, you will learn to express complex thoughts on a wide range of topics. You will also be able to write texts with factual content and largely master spelling and punctuation.

By the end of the course, you should be able to master basic syntax and morphology. You should be able to use a variety of phrases and hold a conversation with a high degree of fluency.

The aim of this course is for you to be able to communicate independently (orally and in writing) on a wide range of topics.

Textbook

NB: make sure to buy the latest edition of the textbooks.

These textbooks are intended for adult immigrants and students who already have a good Norwegian vocabulary and a good understanding of Norwegian grammar. The books are therefore well suited to those who are taking the Norwegian language test at B2 level or preparing for university/college.

The course fee does not include the books.

Approval and course certificate

The evening school is approved by the Directorate for Higher Education and Competence and Norwegian immigration authorities and is valid in relation to an application for a permanent residence permit or Norwegian citizenship.

After completing a Norwegian course, you will receive a course certificate as long as you have attended at least 75% of the course. If you have less participation, we can issue a course confirmation for the hours you have participated.
