Do you have members who want to strengthen basic skills, or improve their Norwegian?

Kompetansepluss Frivillighet provides financial support for training that is relevant to the everyday life and commitment of its participants. The courses are based on situations that they encounter in volunteering. The goal is to strengthen the participants' ability to participate more actively, both in the organization and in society.

The grant covers everything from teaching, preparation and materials to evaluation and documentation. The courses are voluntary and free for participants.

The evening school is both an approved provider of Norwegian language training and registered in the volunteer register. This means that we can submit the application in collaboration with other organizations.

Why should voluntary organizations invest in this?

Voluntary organizations often have a wide range of contacts – people from different backgrounds and with different resources. By offering learning in basic skills, you make the organization even more inclusive and strengthen the participants' ability to contribute. When someone masters the language and digital tools better, it becomes easier to participate actively, take on tasks and contribute to planning and operations.

At the same time, the organization becomes more robust: with more competent members, better communication and a stronger local community. And for many participants, mastering Norwegian and basic skills can be the key to further work, education or integration.

This is how we move forward together

The collaboration starts with you getting in touch and telling us what needs you see among your members. We help identify which skills need to be strengthened, and find suitable course programs that suit you. We prepare the application in dialogue with you, and when the funds are granted, we are responsible for planning and implementation – whether the course is held at your premises, in a location that we have access to, digitally or a combination. Along the way and afterwards, we follow up with documentation, evaluation and reporting.
