What does Competence Plus Vocational Training entail?
Kompetansepluss Vocational Training is a scheme that combines training in basic skills – such as reading, writing, arithmetic, oral communication, digital tools or Norwegian/Sami – with subject-specific training that prepares participants for vocational exams. The goal is that participants are academically stronger and that the training contributes to a more lasting connection to working life.
We set up practical courses so that participants can build on their own experiences and get support where they need it most.

We have extensive experience with theoretical preparatory training for practical candidates.
Some of the most common challenges when it comes to the theory exam before the professional exam are lack of language skills, or weak digital skills that make the exam itself challenging.
When employees receive combined vocational training with support in language, writing and digital skills, the chance of success in the vocational exam and mastery in working life increases. For the company, this means more competence, better documentation, increased quality of work and greater motivation among employees. Kompetansepluss Vocational Training gives you the opportunity to support employees who want a vocational certificate – without them having to bear the entire cost themselves. The grant covers teaching, preparatory and follow-up work, mapping, materials and follow-up.
By strengthening basic skills alongside vocational training, we ensure that the participant does not fall behind because of a lack of language, writing or digital skills. This makes the overall learning process more holistic and targeted.
How do we collaborate with you?
We take on the role of academic and administrative partner. First, we map out which subject areas the participants want to take a certificate in, and what support they need in basic skills or Norwegian. Together we design the application that is sent to HK-dir so that you avoid the bureaucracy.
Once the project is approved, we create a plan for implementation that suits their work environment. We deliver training that is practical and relevant – whether it is in the workplace, in digital sessions or a combination. Throughout the entire period, we follow up with both participants and managers, and after the course we help with reporting and evaluation according to the requirements.
